The Senior RFP Writer/RFP Coordinator role supports QS Investors’ Business Development and Relationship Management Team. The person in this role will work with subject matter experts (“SMEs”)from all areas of the firm which includes portfolio management, strategy, research, production, business management and compliance.
The RFP Writer/Coordinator should be able to build good working relationships with all teams within the firm. This person should be knowledgeable about institutional, sub‐advised, and retail RFPs, RFIs, 15(c)s, DDQs, etc. The RFP Writer/Coordinator should be familiar with quantitative investments/financial markets and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include, but not Limited to

  • Respond to prospective and existing clients’ RFPs, RFIs, 15(c)s, DDQs, and similar types of questionnaires.
  • Responsible for the full lifecycle of the RFP, DDQ or similar document. The person must be able tocoordinate the completion of the RFP by working with the investment teams and other SMEs to completethe questionnaire. The person will have ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the questionnaire iscompleted in full. Working with the sales channels, this person will have final review over allquestionnaires that go out. The person will be responsible for the final submission to the end recipient. Internally, be able to manage the expectations of internal teams.
  • Qualify RFPs, RFIs, etc. (in conjunction with the channel heads) using specific criteria agreed upon by the Business Development team in order to determine if the minimum qualifications are met.
  • Edit RFP's for consistency, accuracy and effectiveness and ensure that all RFPs are completed by their deadline.
  • Be responsible for the oversight of Qvidian, the RFP database, and ensure that the database remains upto‐date with the most recent language and that the appropriate sign‐off of answers is received in a timely manner.
  • Work with the investment teams and other SMEs to craft answers to new questions or update existing RFP/DDQ responses. Ensure consistency of new responses across all marketing collateral.
  • Complete the data requests associated with RFPs, questionnaires, etc. which includes firm and product assets, HR information, investment performance and portfolio characteristics.
  • Work closely with the consultant database coordinator to ensure language and data accuracy across consultant databases, RFPs/RFIs/15(c)s, etc. and Qvidian.
  • Maintain proper backup, electron and hard copy for record keeping purposes (audits/SEC examinations)
  • Ability to analyze data for inclusion into RFPs, RFIs, etc.

Ideal Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience writing investment industry RFPs, RFIs, 15(c)s, etc. and working with a RFP team
  • Ability to work independently in a team‐oriented environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Capable of working under high pressure and in a tight deadline oriented environment
  • High analytical skills, detail‐oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience using FactSet, Zephyr, and eVestment analytics
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience with quantitative equity and multi‐asset investments
  • Experience working with institutional, retail and sub‐advised clients
  • Bachelor’s Degree (additional degrees are welcome)
