Legg Mason’s international distribution business is the principal mutual fund distributor for its parent company, Legg Mason Inc, outside North America. Located in London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Madrid, Melbourne, Miami, Milan, New York, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, Toronto and Taipei, international distribution delivers the investment excellence of Legg Mason’s family of investment specialists to investors across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.
The distribution unit covering Germany, Austria and German speaking Luxembourg is located in Frankfurt. Currently, the sales team is concentrating on deepening existing relationships mainly with the leading third party distributors in the region, fund of fund managers, family offices and major consultants. The team also markets the Legg Mason products to a selected number of institutional investors such as banks and pension funds.
While the team is still small, it is in a strong build-out phase, both in terms of market penetration and client base as well as staff development. The team is structured into sales, client service as well as administrative functions. It is the philosophy and unwritten understanding that team members help each other and show flexibility in the tasks taken over in order to best service the clients and successfully develop the local business.
The European Client Relationship Management (CRM) team, with team members located in offices across Europe, is an important part of the Sales effort, supporting the regional Directors of Business Development in deepening key relationships with top tier European institutional, quasi-institutional and retail clients. The team also pro-actively identifies potential, and develops new, client relationships.
The CRM function adds to the body of knowledge within Sales - by relaying clients’ needs and views and spotting opportunities for marketing LM products to a wider audience.
To support Directors of Business Development for Germany, Austria and parts of Luxembourg by maintaining current and developing new key relationships with top tier clients.

For a talented and well educated candidate we would be willing to compromise on technical experience if the candidate exhibits strong intellectual skills and enthusiasm and self-motivation to develop the necessary technical basis.
Fluent business English is essential.
University degree in relevant business area is advantageous
