Position Overview

Legg Mason is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Sales Service Associate to support the international sales teams across Europe. This position is based in Milan, Italy and as the Sales Service Associate, your focus will be on delivering maximum value to our sales teams at all times, enabling them to sell more, sell better and sell more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include, but not Limited to

  • Track and process invoices linked to office spending
  • Coordinate relationships with office vendors and other service providers
  • Coordinate office premises work
  • Corresponde with E&Y, Deloitte and Italian Regulator
  • Book client meetings and prepare agendas
  • Maintain assigned Sales Directors' calendars
  • Assist with event and portfolio manager visits (this includes taxis, hotel, venue, etc.)
  • Process travel and expenses for Sales Directors
  • Run Customer Relationship Management database (Salesforce) sales and activity reports and communicate results to Sales Directors'
  • Communicate internal policy and procedure changes (e.g. PeopleSoft, FundSpace, Cash/Non Cash, Distribution of Marketing Materials) to Sales Directors'
  • Standard client reporting
  • Website Maintenance
  • Monitor telephone and internet systems
  • Ensure printer and office supplies are properly stock and fuctioning 
  • Assist with fund set up and account opening issues
  • Mail or e-mail promotional items and approved marketing materials to Financial Advisors and RIAs
  • Participate in team wide efforts to streamline processes and increase efficiency
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Ideal Qualifications and Experience

  • Educated to degree level
  • 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced professional environment; preferablly within asset management industry
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Master at multi-tasking; able to manage multiple projects at once, juggle priorities, meet tight deadlines and effectively communicate expectations to stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly learn technology systems and utilize reporting functions; experience with a CRM system preferred
  • Independent worker; able to exercise judgment according to regulations and policies; comfortable escalating issues to management when needed
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; exhibits professionalism in all communication
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Can manage project timetables and adhere to strict deadlines
