Position Overview

Legg Mason is seeking a skilled Marketing Associate to join our team and provide events management support across the UK and Europe. In this role you would be working alongside the Events Manager planning and excuting fund manager road shows, processing events contracts, and attending various events as necessary. 

 

The European marketing team acts as a hub in providing key product and positioning communication to Legg Mason’s international offices conducting business in Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan), Canada, Australia and Latin America.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include, but not Limited to

Events Support

  • Management of events in Benelux, France and Italy
  • Merchandise management
  • Travel bookings for PM day trips
  • Providing support to the Events Manager for fund manager road shows and any forums/events scheduled.
  • Processing event contracts
  • Creating purchase orders and ensuring invoices are sent for payment
  • Creating Salesforce campaigns of all activities
  • Ensure post event evaluation completed
  • Creating roadshow agendas
  • Liaising with affiliates to check PM availability and organize logistics of roadshows 
  • Liaising with venues and third-party media suppliers
  • Collating client and internal feedback post event
  • Attendance at events where necessary (estimated 5-10% time traveling)
  • Assisting in preparation of materials for client events/sales presentations
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects for Marketing Team, as needed.

Ideal Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in events/travel management desirable
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Team player and ability to work well under pressure and work flexible hours, as required
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility
  • Ability to build effective relationships and rapport across the Company, at all levels and be capable of building and managing external relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations and find solutions in stressful situations
