Position Overview

Legg Mason is seeking an innovative Head of Global Brand and Creative to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the Legg Mason Global Brand strategy and the creative elements utilized in the creation of all corporate materials. 

 

 You will be leading an exceptional creative team charged with the development of brand guidelines for all mediums of execution, and the creation and production of innovative and impactful concepts for use in print, digital, video and social applications.

 

Working with senior leadership, you will evaluate the competitive environment to define the Legg Mason brand proposition and develop the long-term plan to drive awareness and consideration among Legg Mason’s key audiences that will be an integral element of the organization’s focus on driving sales and market share.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include, but not Limited to

  • Partnering with affiliates in creating Affiliate brand strategy to ensure the complimentary intersection of LM and Affiliate brand strategy.
  • Partnering with creative agencies and internal team to build the design guidelines as well as to maintain consistency across communications.
  • Designing consistent and creative ways of communicating Legg Mason’s brand to stakeholder including the media, firms, advisors, investors and employees).
  • Working with peers in Client Experience, Global Content, Communications and Digital to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all touchpoints. 
  • Developing and educating organization on brand standards and guidelines and establishing best practices for governance
  • -Championing the brand internally ensuring all employees of the company understand the brand and its goals.
  • -Managing the administration and operation of the design team including developing and expanding talent as well as assignment and completion of projects to efficiently develop effective, brand-aligned design solutions.
  • -Reviewing communications regularly to ensure the brand is expressed consistently and with meaningful impact across a variety of client experiences involving advertising, events, campaigns, web, social media, and internal publications.
  • -Delivering timely and compelling materials in a cost effective way by coordinating schedules, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring appropriate allocation of resources from internal team and external resources.
  • -Defining, measuring and reporting on the brand performance.
  • -Monitoring market trends, researching consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues, reporting findings in a consistent and structured way.
  • -Engaging communications across the company (strategy, plan and implementation) guaranteeing all employees are active and engaged brand ambassadors

Ideal Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of working for a Global organization in a Senior Brand and Marketing role.
  • Experience of creating business growth through brand initiatives.
  • Able to demonstrate experience in building high performing online and offline brand marketing campaigns.
  • Capable of developing creative communications strategies in a diverse international business.
  • A confident communicator able to translate complex information into simple terms.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence through development of a strong point of view.
  • A highly capable corporate story teller using a variety of media including video, animation, website and photography, production and commissioning.
  • A deep understanding of digital for improving employee engagement and external communication on an international scale.
  • Demonstrated passion for brand marketing.
  • Experienced with in-house creative services groups including managing teams in multiple locations
