Our Americas Offshore Group, based in Miami, FL, is seeking a Sales Director to join our team, based in the Chile Office.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Include, but not Limited to
Partner with a designated Regional Director to drive relationships to increase Legg Mason gross and net sales, as well as improve asset retention, within client firms in, but not limited to: Uruguay, Argentina and Peru.
Via phone, in-person, and electronic communication cultivate and manage relationships with financial advisors by offering sales ideas, market intelligence, product information and updates, as well as other forms of support.
High usage of CRM system to successfully execute a business plan in conjunction with Regional Director to foster new relationships while providing world class customer service to drive sales within assigned territory
Provide follow-up and sales support and service as needed.
Prospect new clients to establish new relationships and generate business
Requires to Travel on a monthly basis and spend at least 1 week a month in Uruguay.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum 5+ years of sales experience within a financial services firm
Must have demonstrated success selling over the phone with a strong call structure and an organized sales process
Extensive investment product knowledge and understanding of financial concepts with the ability to articulate a variety of investment topics ranging from fundamental asset classes to alternative investments
Excellent listening skills as well as the ability to identify opportunities and suggest creative solutions
CRM experience strongly desired
Enthusiastic team player and self-starter with ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced sales environment;
Strong customer relationship management and servicing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities;
Able to be present in the office during regular business hours unless otherwise authorized
Able to travel
English fluency required, written and spoken.

Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment that experiences a lot of change/heavy volume
