    Legg Mason is seeking a Procurement Manager to join the Financial Department in its Harbor East headquarters.  Main responsibilities include managing an outsourced arrangement with a third-party vendor, general procurement activities, and managing the Procurement, Travel and Accounts Payable teams. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage relationship with third-party vendor responsible for large sourcing projects.
    • Collaborate with the business to ensure clarity of purchasing specifications and requirements.
    • Delegate and supervise the day-to-day work of the Procurement team.
    • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
    • Manage, oversee and provide guidance to the Accounts Payable and Travel teams.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
    • Responsible for relationships with internal customers and external vendors to negotiate and review details of purchase agreements.
    • Collaborate with affiliates to consolidate contracts and vendors to improve cost savings.
    • Manage all aspects of strategic relationships with outsourcing providers.
    • Ensure contract cost reductions are continuously sought and the effective and efficient delivery of labor, goods and services.
    • Streamline and automate business processes and improve efficiencies to reduce costs.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
    • 10+ years’ experience in procurement or purchasing
    • Seasoned manager with strong leadership abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products required
    • Familiarity with Workday and Oracle a strong plus
    • Proven negotiation and networking skills

    • Detail oriented and organized
