    If you are a leader in the Change Management and OD space, this is for you! Our global HR team is hiring an Organization Development (OD)/Change Management and Workstyle Expert in either Baltimore, MD, New York, NY or Stamford, CT.

     

    In this NEW exciting position, you will help build organizational agility and change management capability for leaders and staff within Legg Mason, enabling the rapid adoption of technology, process, and organizational and job transformations. This highly visible and critical role will support transformation by utilizing agile, lean, and design thinking techniques to improve quality, productivity, and the client experience. By championing employees successfully transitioning to new operating models, processes, and business systems with an agile mindset you will play an integral role in transforming Legg Mason’s Workplace, Workforce, and Workstyle.

     

    Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Management, responsibilities include:

    • Partnering with the Global Head of Talent Management and business leaders to assess and identify critical business and people issues associated with complex or large-scale change management projects and organizational initiatives
    • Developing and implementing organizational design capabilities and tools as well as change management and process re-engineering using Lean Six Sigma techniques
    • Embedding agile principles and practices across the business to improve organizational design, increase productivity and achieve organic growth
    • Championing agile methodologies mindset and coach management and teams to transform culture toward agile behaviors
    • Developing new agile friendly processes and re-engineering existing ones in accordance with lean agile values
    • Consulting with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide agile thought leadership and to assess leadership and workforce skills and capabilities against future needs, developing a high impact change management strategy for the global enterprise
    • In partnership with the Project Management Office, manage OD and change management projects, from needs assessment through implementation and measurement
    • Leveraging knowledge and experience with leadership and management development, professional development, team effectiveness, coaching, change management and culture change in identifying talent management and OD interventions
    • Development of measurement strategies to assess effectiveness and ROI of talent management and OD interventions
    • Stays current on research and practices in organization development, agile methodologies and change management
    • Assessing requests for change management support to align resources appropriately

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of Change Management and Organizational Development (OD) experience, including working with global, cross-functional high-level initiatives and large-scale projects
    • Master’s Degree in Learning and Development, Organization Development, Industrial Organization Psychology, or Human Resources desired
    • Demonstrated knowledge of organizational development and innovative change management principles, methodologies and tools; Prosci, CCMP, or other change management certification preferred
    • Consulting and project management experience preferred
    • Flexible and adaptable; able to work effectively in ambiguity
    • Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills
    • Resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to successfully bring together and drive cooperation across diverse teams with potentially conflicting goals and objectives
    • Requires the ability to work independently and be readily adaptable to changes in work priorities
    • Must be a thought leader, trusted advisor, and internal consultant who challenges the status quo
    • Detailed understanding of project management disciplines (process improvement methodologies e.g. Six Sigma, Lean tools) and operating model approaches
    • Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
    • Lean Six Sigma (e.g. Black Belt) certification or equivalent desirable
