Position: Cloud Solutions Architect
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duties: Draw on experience with Java, J2EE, Servlet, Spring, Webservices, Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Elastics Container Service (ECS), Amazon Relational Database Services (RDS), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Simple Queue Services (SQS), Simple Notificatio Services (SNS), Auto Scaling, Lamda, Oracle and Database development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD), and Agile Development to design and define AWS architecture for new cloud computing systems or existing systems migrating to cloud architectures. Perform expert-level systems AWS development and design work that may include logical system design; I/O design; cloud architecture analysis and design; and systems engineering. Develop technical roadmaps for future AWS cloud implementations. Develop technical analysis on potential projects. Ensure security is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions. Perform advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analysis to guide major architecture and procurement decisions. Act as a subject-matter expert to multiple tasks and/or programs, but self-aware enough to know personal technical limits. Review completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and make recommendations to management. Plan and direct upgrades and designs systems enhancements. Determine system specifications; input/output processes; and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Serve as a program architect on technology initiatives. Provide guidance and leadership to BI and system developers, Software Developers and Data Engineers with supervisory responsibilities. Provide high level expertise to multiple projects and tasks.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field plus five years of experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above.
